Friday, February 14, 2003 ( 9:20 PM ) Dear World, Ok, here goes: What you can do to help prevent this immoral, illegal, unbelievable war:1) Volunteer time for MoveOn.org. Go to http://www.moveon.org/giveaday/ and sign up to donate 8 hours or more of your time. They’ll get in touch with you about things to do. Like leafleting and stuff. 2) Vote to impeach Bush. Go to http://www.votetoimpeach.org/ and sign the petition. The move to impeach him is being started by former attourney general Ramsey Clark, so you know it’s for real! 3) Write to all your legislators and tell them that you are against this war and that your tax money should be going to health care, education, etc. 4) Sorry to tell you this, but all those petitions supposedly put out by the UN... they’re fake. If you look at the UN website they have a statement about that. 5) I don’t know if the rice movement is fake or not. That involves sending a half cup of rice to Bush. I forget why but if everyone does it, supposedly he’ll notice that something’s up (since we can’t get him to pay attention to us by any conventional means.) Also, supposedly this has worked before in another situation. 6) Talk to people who don’t agree with you and challenge their logic. Don’t be mean though, because you don’t want to turn them against you. You just want to try to help them think of things a different way. Like that guy I argued with after the first protest, the drunk one in the bar. He finally admitted that it was all about his BMW and his Jamba Juice!
